Who is eligible to join the Dental Wisdom Chat?

The chat is open to licensed dentists only. We do not accept vendors, sponsors, sales representatives, practice support staff, or family members of dentists. This policy exists to preserve an authentic dentist-to-dentist environment where members can speak freely without commercial pressure.

Why is the group limited to dentists only?

We believe the value of this community comes from dentists being able to discuss real issues with peers who truly understand the day-to-day realities of practice ownership and clinical decision-making. Introducing non-dentists often changes the dynamic and leads to selling or one-sided conversations.

What is the culture of the Dental Wisdom Chat?

The chat is intentionally supportive and non-competitive. Members are encouraged to share knowledge generously, ask for help when needed, and treat one another with respect and collegiality.

How active is the chat?

The Dental Wisdom Chat is very active, with regular discussions and engagement among members throughout the week.

Our Approach to Companies and Promotion

Can companies or sponsors post directly in the chat?

No. All posts in the chat come directly from the organizers. We do not allow companies, vendors, or sponsors to post directly in the group. This includes situations where a member attempts to post on behalf of a company or vendor. Any posts that do not align with this approach will be removed to protect the non-commercial, dentist-to-dentist nature of the community.

How can companies or sponsors reach the Dental Wisdom community?

Companies and sponsors who wish to share an upcoming event, promotion, resource, announcement, or opportunity must reach out directly to the organizers. If approved, the information will be shared with the community on their behalf in a respectful and non-intrusive way.

What kind of company content is typically approved?

We occasionally share relevant opportunities, educational resources, or events that we believe would genuinely benefit the community. All content is reviewed for relevance, tone, and alignment with the group’s values before being posted.

Is there paid advertising or sponsorship available in the chat?

We do not offer paid advertising or direct sponsorship placements within the chat itself. Our priority is protecting the non-commercial, dentist-to-dentist nature of the community. Approved announcements are shared at the discretion of the organizers.

Why are you so strict about selling and promotion in the chat?

We have seen many professional communities lose their value once they become filled with constant selling. Our goal is to protect a space where dentists can ask for help, share knowledge, and build real relationships without feeling like they are being sold to on a regular basis.

How Companies Can Get Involved

How do we inquire about sharing something with the Dental Wisdom community?

Please email us at info@dentalwisdom.org with the subject line “Chat Announcement Inquiry.” In your message, please include a clear description of what you would like to share and why you believe it would be valuable to the community.

How long does it take to hear back?

We aim to respond to company inquiries within a few business days. Please note that not all requests are approved, as we are selective about what is shared in the group.

Is there a cost associated with having something shared in the chat?

There is currently no cost to have approved content shared with the community. We evaluate requests based on relevance and value to our members rather than payment.

How do I join the Dental Wisdom Chat?

Use the “Apply to Join” button on the WhatsApp Community page to complete the short application form. It asks a few basic questions to confirm that you are a dentist and that your goals align with the values of the community.

Is there a cost to join?

No. The Dental Wisdom Chat is completely free for all approved members.
